Julie Owsik Ackerman is a writer and a lawyer.

Julie’s writing is informed by a wealth of practical experience: practicing immigration and employment law at Blank Rome, clerking for a Philadelphia homicide judge, producing her own creative writing, and teaching writing workshops to students of all ages.
At LISI, Julie marries her writing and editorial expertise with her understanding of the law to create content for lawyers and law firms, and to manage LISI’s communications. She is also an A.I. evangelist, pursuing knowledge in the ever-evolving tech sphere and sharing insights to educate others.

Though she has lived in New York City, Mexico, and San Diego, Julie’s heart belongs to Philly. Outside the office, you can often find her with a Jane Austen book, near the ocean or Lake Ontario, with her two sons, husband, and pug.
