COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

LISI has partnered with Hopeworks, a workforce training program that empowers the youth of Camden, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA. Hopeworks’ trauma-informed approach, combined with technical training for high-demand, high wage jobs, helps prepare young people with both technical and soft skills to succeed in their role upon job placement.

Our team is delighted that a Hopeworks alum has accepted a full-time position at LISI after completing an internship.

In 2021, the LISI team contributed and collected toiletries and delivered care packages for the women and children of MATER (Maternal Addiction Treatment, Education & Research.) The MATER programs serve pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders, utilizing a mindfulness-based, trauma-responsive and person-centered approach. MATER programs are designed to empower pregnant and parenting women during recovery in a compassionate, welcoming environment, including both outpatient and residential programs where young children can live with their mother.

In 2022, the LISI team split into small groups and made a variety of homemade casseroles to donate to St. John’s Hospice, which serves the casseroles as the main course of the complete, hot meal they provide to homeless men every day in Center City Philadelphia. St. John’s Hospice is a Catholic Social Services shelter that provides essential, life-sustaining services with dignity, respect, and compassion to homeless men in Philadelphia.

Shortly after the death of actress Betty White in early 2022, LISI took part in “The Betty White Challenge” on social media, contributing to the cause and encouraging our followers and connections to also donate money to shelters and rescue organizations in honor of the beloved actress’s lifelong love and advocacy for animals. 

LISI is supporting Girls on the Run as part of our training for the Broad Street Run in October. Like Girls on the Run, we believe in the value of combining confidence- and character-building with physical activity.

Girls on the Run is a national nonprofit organization that designs programming that strengthens third- to eighth-grade girls’ social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills to successfully navigate life experiences. Each season ends with a non-competitive 5K, where girls celebrate who they are, how far they have come, and where they want to go.

LISI will match every dollar raised.

Motivated by the impact of COVID-19, LISI has opted to donate money we previously spent on snacks and items for in-person meetings to Feeding America, an organization that helps to feed many among us who are struggling. Every dollar donated provides 10 meals, and LISI is committed to donating 50,000 meals to this worthy cause.

LISI and its sister company, ClubLISI became Batting Cage sponsors of Warrington A’s Baseball in 2021. Through our sponsorship, the organization was able to replace two batting cage nets which had become torn over the years.

LISI is proud to support Alexis Berg-Townsend of Cohen Feeley Altemose and Rambo in her campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2021 Women of the Year. Candidates across the county will form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors to raise the most funds for blood cancer research.
