WEB ACCESSIBILITY

YOU ARE TRUSTED COUNSEL
WE ARE INCLUSIVE

text_section

Did you know that as much as twenty-five percent of the population is living with a disability?

If your firm’s website doesn’t take this into consideration, what does that tell your potential clients? What does it tell other attorneys who may want to refer business to you?

LISI cares about digital inclusivity and accessibility.

We want visitors to your website to be able to navigate the website as designed, and adjust settings to their unique needs.

To guide website designers and developers on how to make websites accessible World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has created the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG). Recognized as the definitive framework for digital accessibility, these guidelines are now a part of various legislations, such as the ADA, Section 508, EN 301549, and others.

In accordance with the latest WCAG, we use a two-part web accessibility solution to enable those with disabilities to navigate your firm’s website:.

The foreground application handles the user interface, allowing differently abled website visitors to adjust the interface and design to their individual needs. Then, a background application uses artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize the accessibility level of your website. This AI engine remediates the website’s HTML accessibility issues.

We also offer PDF transcription and video subtitling on your website for more comprehensive accessibility and content optimization.

Our accessibility tools are built on four core principles of inclusive design — Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust. Together, they make everyone welcome on your law firm’s website, regardless of ability, device, or context.

Perceivable

Everyone should be able to see and understand the content on your site. These features ensure that visual information is flexible, customizable, and easy to consume.

Font Handling: Users can increase and decrease font size, change its type, and adjust spacing, alignment, leading, kerning, and more.

Content Highlighting: Users can emphasize links, titles, and other important elements.

Operable

Website navigation should be easy for everyone, including users with motor or sensory limitations. These tools help visitors control their experience without triggering discomfort.

Animations: Users with epilepsy can stop all running animations with the click of a button.

Audio Muting: Users with hearing devices can mute the entire website instantly.

Understandable

A website should communicate clearly to all audiences, including users with cognitive differences or language barriers. These features make content easier to interpret and interact with.

Color Handling: Users can select different color-contrast profiles, and switch color schemes.

Cognitive Support: Users can decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and more.

Robust

Your site should work well across assistive technologies and adapt as needs evolve. These tools enhance compatibility, flexibility, and performance behind the scenes.

Options: Users can change the cursor’s color and sizing, view in print mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and more.

Machine Learning: AI runs in the background and optimizes the accessibility level of your website every 24 hours, remediating accessibility issues, as well as functionality and behavior.
